Amusing the Laters

When the music stopped, and the kegs virtually emptied,  the camp site all packed and most people gone home, there were still some lingering"laters"; so we showed them how to take the camp rubbish to the dump and how to get a load of firewood from the sawmill; we let them feed us beautiful things and pour us beautiful wine; but what next? especially when the rains came and the cold closed in! So we let them light the fire in the lounge room, let them put on some great music, pour us some bubbles and then we taught them how to make pasta - of course! And Rob and Deb were great students -  tho' the bread machine made the dough and the pasta machine did the rolling and cutting - but there still was quite a bit of technique required -and they did us proud! YUM! and Cara. Rob managed the job with very little recourse to his spirit level - just this once perhaps.

As the sun went down, we gathered to mark the opening. Wayne came prepared...

Time for a number 2 (part 4)

I am hoping that Phil will fill in the gap here as he was busy taking photos when I arrived on the scene . I had been having a sociable glass of wine or two with Norma and Chester and  was completely oblivious to all the hard work that was going on in my absence. Dear oh dear.

So, back to the story....

The project was attracting lots of attention as it neared completion..

There was some discussion as to whether we should keep the long bit and use it to hang a sign from...

After careful consideration, Wayne decided it wasn't strong enough.

Mouse went about cutting the end of a sheet of iron. He was really careful not to cut himself on the jagged edge but ended up getting blisters on his cutting hand.

While I was having breakfast, somebody got up and dug a dirty great hole in the ground!

Rob had decided it was time to show the rest of them what hard work was all about.

Wayne was on a mission. He had designed the dunny and brought pieces of timber with him which he had numbered. He grabbed Mouse and Rob and they set about constructing the frame...
