*There was a total fire ban

*We didn't bother with the tarp - just put up the gazebo instead but it didn't matter as everyone spent most of their time up at the Venus bar

*John's magical electrical box made it's debut to widespread admiration

*The magpie swooped anyone walking from the camp to the house - resulting in some funny walks and dances across the paddock!

*Chester drove the Harley to the loo but couldn't make it back in reverse. Mouse and others had to unscrew the door

*Bron, Boonie, Celia, Sue and Stephe accompanied Chester on his way home

*Wayne did his magic show despite strong winds which kept blowing things over

*Little Paddy Houston almost stole the show

*Doug rode 50kms at 6am on Sunday morning

*We celebrated Rob and Deb's wedding anniversary, Paul's birthday, Graham's birthday and Malika's pregnancy with a delicious cake that Deb made

*Darryl vs Bu on the BBQ

*Alfie vs Storm in the paddock

*Eoin's arm was in a cast so they slept in the house.The arm got sorer when he needed a beer or a cuppa.

*Jasmine joined the band on her ukulele

 It was a 2 fire camp... The blokes set up the drum with some hefty blokey logs

 The bigger log, the better... This was the breakaway group. They weren't that happy when their space got infiltrated by children and women.

Both fires have a view... and they're not so far apart that you can't start a conversation with the other fire group.

 If you want some cheese, you're going to have to walk over and get it.


The weather couldn't make its mind up.
