Ahhh Sweet Memories!

If you were lucky enough to sample some of Gwen's birthday cake made fresh by Nell that day, then you might be interested in the recipe:

Sieve into large bowl:
1 and 2/3 cups plain flour
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup of cocoa
1 and 1/2 teaspoons bi carb soda
3/4 teaspoons salt

Blend (by hand)
2 eggs
4 Tablespoons melted butter
1 and a half cups of milk
1 and a half teaspoons vanilla

Add wet to dry ingredients
Beat with wooden spoon til well combined

Put in greased dish (could use baking paper) for about 30 minutes at 200 degrees
Can use roasting pan to make cake go further.

When cool, can ice, or cover with ganache, or just cover with whipped cream and dot with fresh berries

Getting Caught Up In It All

I paid a visit to some of the ladies elegantly slumming it in Slum City and it was pointed out that a pair of butterflies had been chasing eachother around, flirting when they both got caught in an old spider's web. They flapped and flapped and eventually one of them managed to free itself. The other wasn't so lucky.
