Sept 2017: The One Where...

The creek was warm! (ish)

We had boiling hot weather on Friday and Saturday, then freezing (19 degrees and rainy) on Sunday and Monday.

We learnt most of the Sgt Pepper album and played it to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its release.

Paul brought Ezra, Asha and Josiah with him for the first time.

It was Grand Final weekend. (the Richmond beat the Crows and the Storm beat the Cowboys but more importantly The Killers played at the AFL and Macklemore played Same Love at the NRL)

Mary and Phoebe learnt some uke songs and led the kids in rousing renditions of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Sweet Home Alabama and many more....  

  Michelle cut Chester and Nell's hair

  Alfie found Nell's glasses ($10 reward) and swam in Girl's water bowl 

Darryl made lamb and lentil curry for Chester and scored 10/10.

Ory turned up, set up camp and then had to leave as Jasmine had chicken pox.

Eoin and Wayne improved on their rendition of Carol Brown

The kids did a flashdance to Thriller

Tim went bushwalking every day and came back glowing!

Mary and Phoebe found a big spider in their tent and had to enlist Rudy to get rid of it.

Lamington Landcare was planting

Pippa sang Riptide with Mary accompanying on ukulele

We spent the Saturday at Chester's cooking up chilli

We did ukulele karaoke

We took Chester's electric Harley for a spin

Freya became Chester's chauffeur

Bu passed up the opportunity to leave early with Bron so he could help pack down

We all had to leave on the Monday as school went back on Tuesday

And as soon as Bu hooked the trailer up to the quad bike, all the not-so-little kids-any-more came running...
